How it works
The game
Two Pokémon cards appear. Tap the one you think has the higher market price. The prices are revealed, your rating and streak update, and the next pair loads. That’s it.
Rating
Your rating works like chess ELO, except the “opponent” is the card pair itself: the closer the two prices, the stronger the opponent. Calling a near coin-flip pays well; missing an obvious mismatch costs you. Everyone starts at 1000, and the leaderboard ranks by rating.
Streak
Consecutive correct guesses build your streak. From 5 it starts changing color — red, then orange at 10, blue at 20, violet at 40 — and you can share your run with friends.
Prices
Market prices come from TCGplayer and refresh regularly, so the “right answer” tracks the real market. Filters (era, series, Pokémon) narrow which cards you’re shown — your rating works the same either way.
Accounts
No account needed — progress lives in your browser. Sign in with Google to keep your rating on every device, pick a username, and join the leaderboard. PriceMash shares its account system (and its card catalog) with CardMash.
